Jesus Is Praying For You
Yes, Jesus is praying you. But don’t take my word for it, let’s see what the Bible says:
Romans 8:34 says, “It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.” The Bible tells us that Christ was crucified, that He died, He rose from the grave, and then Christ ascended to the right hand of His Father God. Christ has been there, interceding for you, ever since.
Hebrews 7:24-25 says, “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” This verse is incredible. If you have “come to God through Him,” then Christ is always interceding for you. ALWAYS interceding for you.
1 John 2:1-2 says, “My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” When we sin, Jesus the Christ is our advocate with Father God. If you have come to God through Jesus, then all your sins have been covered by the work of the cross. Jesus, our propitiation, is the means by which the wrath of God is turned away from us. Jesus is the one upon whom our sins have been laid, as a propitiatory sacrifice, to absorb the judgment of God against us, so that we might be set free. Jesus is your advocate before Father God, and Jesus prays for all who are His.
John 14:15-17 says “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever — the Spirit of truth.” God has sent the Holy Spirit to all who love Christ and keep His commandments. If that is you, the Spirit of Truth will abide with you forever.
Romans 8:26 says, “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” The Holy Spirit also prays for all believers, and even teaches us to pray.
John 17:20-21 says, “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” This passage makes it very clear that Jesus was praying for his disciples then, AND Jesus was praying for all future believers who would ever come to God through Jesus. That includes you.
